Cult American songwriter Bonnie 'Prince' Billy has confirmed a series of British tour dates.
Bonnie 'Prince' Billy is one of the most important American songwriters of his generation, yet he remains trapped in cult obscurity. Perhaps true talent can never really crossover, or maybe it will take us a few years to catch up.
Whatever the case, he remains a delight for the chosen few. Bonnie 'Prince' Billy is hugely prolific and the hugely respected songwriter has recently completed yet another batch of dark Americana.
'The Wonder Of The World' is set to be released later this year, finding Billy working with The Cairo Gang. Comprising Emmett Kelly and Shahzad Ismaily the duo are hardly strangers having worked with the singer before.
Bonnie 'Prince' Billy has teamed up with the duo for previous recordings, helping out in the studio when The Cairo Gang need a little assistance. However this is the first time the three have worked together throughout an entire album.
Uniting three unique musicians, 'The Wonder Of The World' was recorded eye-to-eye in the studio. Due for release this summer, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy will follow the album with a series of British tour dates.
Opening in Belfast on July 27th, the singer will then move to the mainland for some special shows. Taking over Manchester Cathedral on August 3rd, the tour will finish in London's Shepherds Bush Empire on August 4th.
