Hot Chip have confirmed details of a new remix EP re-working tracks from their album 'One Life Stand'.

Hot Chip are an anomaly. A motley crew of DJs and producers, the band manage to fuse pop music with underground dance.

Releasing their new album 'One Life Stand' earlier this year, the record is undoubtedly one of the strangest pop statements to come our way in some time. Hugely respected by other dance acts, Hot Chip have handed their material over to a select batch of friends for a forthcoming remix EP.

'We Have Remixes' is due to be released on September 6th, and contains some unreleased remixes. Canadian ex-pat Caribou has agreed to take part in the project, tackling the album track 'Brothers'.

Joining Dan Snaith are a mixed group of producers. Disco don Todd Edwards has decided to take on 'Hand Me Down Your Love', retaining Hot Chip's melody and structure but replacing production with his own shimmering synths.

Hot Chip producer Joe Goddard has been heavily involved in the project. “These are some of our favourite producers" he explained, "people that we have been following for years and have been friends with for years as well in some cases.”

The forthcoming EP is set to be released as a download and on 12 inch vinyl. An essential purchase for fans, it marks the start of a busy period for the group.

Hot Chip are preparing to visit Australia having confirmed a series of tour dates later this summer. Returning to the UK, the band are set to play Bestival before embarking on a special tour.

The band are planning to team up with LCD Soundsystem on the forthcoming tour, with the joint dates marking something of a farewell for James Murphy's much loved dance-punk outfit.

Hot Chip are set to release 'We Have Remixes' on September 6th.
