Forthcoming ATP event Nightmare Before Christmas has expanded its line up yet again.
A new addition to the ATP roster, Nightmare Before Christmas is now a fixed part of the festival calendar. A superb way to ring out the year, organisers always manage to secure hugely acclaimed groups to act as curators.
This year is no exception. Canadian post rock collective Godspeed You! Black Emperor have been recruited to build the bill, including a no doubt showstopping performance from the seminal band themselves.
Reforming for the first time in almost a decade, Godspeed You! Black Emperor have recruited several close friends to make up the bill. Hand picked, the new additions include American group Oneida.
Oneida's art rock oscillations have made them cult heroes, with their dissonant material too complex to infiltrate the mainstream. The band have been confirmed for Nightmare Before Christmas, representing a rare chance for British fans to catch them in action.
To spice things up, Oneida are set to present The Ocropolis - the band's legendary rehearsal space. The group are transporting the building to Minehead for a full day of improvisation, collaboration and recording which fans can witness first hand.
Elsewhere, other new additions to the line up include Tony Conrad, garage rock outcasts Thee Oh Sees and more.
The new names on the bill join some previously announced acts including Black Dice, MTV generation spoofster Weird Al Yankovic, Bardo Pond, legendary Minutemen bass player Mike Watt and more.
Nightmare Before Christmas takes place between December 3rd - 5th.
