The life of John Lennon is set to be celebrated with the release of new collection 'Box Of Vision'.
John Lennon is one of the towering figures in British pop music. The Beatles conquered the world, kickstarting the 60s and soundtracking an unprecedented social revolution before splitting in 1970.
Devoting his life to peace, John Lennon led a varied solo career which was suddenly stopped by Mark Chapman. Had he lived, the singer would have turned 70 this year and to celebrate his life EMI have commissioned a new box set.
Available in a limited edition, 'Box Of Vision' is an individually numbered collection. Endorsed by Yoko Ono, the new box set contains a number of art prints and a special housing system for your Lennon CDs.
The box set has a place for each of John Lennon's solo albums, ranging from 'The Wedding Album' to 'Double Fantasy'. A 166 page hard bound book will showcase the artwork from these albums, brilliantly restored in pristine new LP-size art prints.
The first time that the artwork has been collected in one LP sized book, the publication includes the cover art for each of the albums John Lennon was involved in. Alongside this, 'Box Of Vision' features an extensive full colour discography with an exclusive essay and textual guide.
The box also contains newly restored reproductions of classic Lennon album advertisements and the singer's handwritten notes to 'Double Fantasy' and 'Milk And Honey'.
The limited edition collection includes 2 art-adorned recordable DVDs, and 2 different recordable CDs, intended for fans to record and store any audio and visual content they choose.
With less than 7500 copies set to be commercially available, 'Box Of Vision' is a wonderful compliment to John Lennon's solo career.
John Lennon's 'Box Of Vision' is due to be released on October 5th.
