Hip hop overlords Public Enemy have confirmed details of an upcoming London show, their only UK gig in 2010.
Together for more than 25 years, Public Enemy have weathered a number of assaults. Losing and re-gaining members, the hip hop heavyweights remain hugely influential due to their ferocious sonic assault.
Attempts to fund their new album through Sellaband came unstuck, with the band forced to downgrade their estimations. Due to head back into the studio shortly, Public Enemy have not let financial restraints blunt their outspoken message.
The passing of anti-immigrant legislation in Arizona got Chuck D's back up. Not only did Public Enemy join a boycott of the state, but the rapper released a solo track blasting the state's governors.
Not the first time Chuck D and Arizona have had a run in, with the classic Public Enemy track 'By The Time I Get To Arizona' also blasting the conservative authorities.
Still capable of causing a stir, Public Enemy are set to hit London for a one off British show. The core trio of Chuck D, Flavor Flav and Professor Griff are set to re-unite alongside the S1Ws.
DJ Lord will take command of the turntables, with the band's performance set to draw on the full force of their back catalogue. Public Enemy will perform on November 14th, taking control of the indigo2 venue.
Of course, the band have a lengthy relationship with the UK - 1988's seismic album 'It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back' begins with the words "London, England: consider yourselves warned!"
Support for the show has not yet been announced, with tickets set to go on sale from 9am this Friday (August 20th).
