Kings Of Leon have confirmed details of a replacement show after abandoning a gig due to pigeon droppings.
It was one of the year's most bizarre news stories: Kings Of Leon recently walked offstage after being pelted in pigeon droppings.
The band were set to play in St Louis, with staff noticing that pigeons were nesting in the roof of the Verizon Amphitheatre. Support groups were pelted in bird droppings, with Kings Of Leon being apprehensive about their own set.
In the end, the Followills lasted three songs before walking off. Covered in pigeon droppings, a Tweet from the band later revealed that one outpouring almost landed in Caleb Followills mouth.
A danger to the band themselves, the show was cancelled. Now Kings Of Leon have confirmed details of a replacement gig for fans in St Louis.
The owners of the Verizon Amphitheatre have apparently removed the troublesome pigeons, who have plagued performances at the venue. Now Kings Of Leon can safely return, with a show announced for September 25th.
Part of the band's extensive North American tour, the show will re-visit the venue. Fans who still have their tickets from the first gig will get in free, while replacement tickets can be purchased for just $10.
The move comes as Kings Of Leon confirm details of their quick-fire fifth album. 'Come Around Sundown' was recorded earlier this year by the Followills, and will be released in October.
Meanwhile, Kings Of Leon are set to return to the UK for a headline performance at V Festival. Playing both sites, the band are expected to play a number of tracks from their forthcoming album.
V Festival takes place between August 21st - 22nd.
