Philip Selway has confirmed a one off show at London venue the Union Chapel this December.
One of the most iconic British groups of their generation, Radiohead have spawned surprisingly few solo projects. Thom Yorke has completed one album under his own name while Jonny Greenwood has worked on film scores.
Now drummer Philip Selway has stepped out the shadows. Much discussed, the drummer's debut album 'Familial' is out now with fans reacting favourably to his surprisingly confident songwriting.
Gaining warm reviews, Philip Selway has proved that all those years working behind Thom Yorke has rubbed off. Recorded earlier this year, 'Familial' is a confident first offering from the drummer.
Confirming a series of tour dates, Selway is set to team up with old friends Wilco. The pair are set to play a number of shows together, with the Radiohead drummer acting as the alt country stars' support.
Due to play Bestival this weekend, Philip Selway is also planning to visit End Of The Road at Larmer Tree Gardens. Meanwhile a solo date at London's Bush Hall has sold out, with the Wilco dates also selling strongly.
Taking place this December, Philip Selway is set to headline a special event at London's Union Chapel. Taking place on December 16th, the show is the Christmas party for his label Bella Union.
A hugely respected imprint, the annual bash has yet to firm up its line up. However Philip Selway will headline, alongside a number of special guests drawing on the full wealth of the label's roster.
