Cee Lo Added To Reeperbahn

American singer Cee Lo has been added to the line up for this year's Reeperbahn festival.

Taking place in Hamburg, Reeperbahn focusses attention one on of the city's oldest areas. A lingering network of clubs and bars, the area is set to come alight for an urban festival celebrating new music.

Taking place between September 23rd - 25th, Reeperbahn Festival recently confirmed some very special performers. Gnarls Barkley vocalist and noted solo performer Cee Lo Green is due to headline, with his new album on the horizon.

Releasing a strong of tracks to increase anticipation, Cee Lo Green recently debuted the expletive ridden single 'Fuck You'. A web sensation, it's side splitting lyrics are matched by Green's typically soulful delivery.

Other new additions include veteran songwriter Donovan. The 60s icon made his name with some classic singles, adding a pop touch to breezy acoustic anthems. Lyrically, the Scottish singer is influenced by counter culture ideals, staying true to hippy ideology no matter the current trend.

Set to perform in Hamburg, the hippy icon joins an extremely varied bill. Edwyn Collins is set to perform, while hardcore troubadour Frank Turner will also join in the festivities.

London folktronica producer James Yuill will appear at the German event, with other performers including Black Earth, Kurran And The Wolfnotes and Icelandic electro newcomers FM Belfast.

This year's Reeperbahn will include over 25 clubs with some 170 shows taking place across the length of the festival. Best known for its association with The Beatles the area is set to reverberate to the sound of new music once again.
