Liverpool art punks Hot Club De Paris are set to release a split single with That Fucking Tank.
Community can't be bought, sold or replicated. Music thrives on close knit networks of like minded individuals, setting up labels, tours and releasing forward thinking music from exciting bands.
Hailing from Liverpool, Hot Club De Paris thrive on community. The band's edgy post-hardcore sound will never take them to the mainstream, so the three piece aim to find like minded friends across the country.
Touring far and wide, two recent EPs have seen the band come to terms with producing their own material. Hot Club De Paris are set to follow these new releases with a one off single, split with That Fucking Tank.
A near unique band, That Fucking Tank use the lesser heard baritone guitar. De-tuned to produce an almighty racket, the band hail from the same scene which also spawned Pulled Apart By Horses.
Recorded live at an instore, the resulting single will be released as a strictly limited edition seven inch later this year.
Hot Club De Paris have teamed up with Never Records for the release, a multi media multi-artist installation constructed to resemble a functioning record store. Part art experiment and part 'High Fidelity' the shop has everything from record bins to poster racks, resembling a real shop down to the last inch.
Created by Ted Rieder, Never Records will play host to the unusual show. A total of five records will be produced, one of which will be cut direct to vinyl live as the band are playing.
Set to take place tonight (September 9th) the series of shows will open with Hot Club De Paris and That Fucking Tank. To get your name on the guestlist email these people: We_Are_Samizdat@hotmail.com
