Oxford based festival OX4 is set to play host to exclusive sets from Crocodiles and more.
Oxford is an under-rated musical city. With the area's shoegazing legacy being explored by a new generation, perhaps it is right that OX4 aims to explore new talent from the Thames Valley and beyond.
Centred on Oxford, the festival is a new venture from the organisers of Truck Festival. Using indoor venues, the one day event will mix some hefty headliners with unknown acts from the area and beyond.
Already confirmed for OX4 are Manchester newcomers Everything Everything, whose debut album 'Man Alive' has been scorching ears across the nation. Beginning with the perfect pop of 'My Kz Yr Bf' the album is a hugely imaginative piece of work.
Receiving warm reviews, Everything Everything are currently on tour across the nation. Set to play OX4, the band will be joined by cult American power pop group Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin.
The headliners are completed by Abe Vigoda, while newcomers include California noise pop duo Crocodiles. With their second album 'Sleep Forever' out now, the duo will have plenty of new material to showcase in Oxford.
Elsewhere, Dog Is Dead are set to appear fresh from confirming their appearance at Welsh event SWN. Other new names on the line up include The Winchell Riots, Chad Valley, Dreaming Spires and Boat To Row.
Fixers are due to appear, while Glitches, Hreda and more make up the bulk of the new announcement.
More acts are yet to be confirmed, with OX4 taking place in venues across the city. Returning for its second run, the festival seems to be bringing focus to a re-energised Oxford music scene.
OX4 takes place on October 9th.
