The Prodigy have been confirmed as the first names on the line up for Snowbombing 2011.

Set high up in Austrian alps, Snowbombing is one of Europe's most unusual festivals. Combining dramatic scenery, a friendly atmosphere and plenty of live music the event grows in stature each year.

Allowing fans to take part in a variety of snow sports activities, the tiny village of Mayrhofen is turned into a hub for music fans. Earlier this year Snowbombing returned, with a host of exclusive performances.

Fatboy Slim is a huge fan of the event, with Norman Cook almost booking himself. Propping up a bill which included a raft of pop, dance and indie acts the Austrian festival has something for all tastes.

Organisers have barely recovered from this year's event, but are already hard at work on next year's instalment. 2011 will aim to be better than ever, with The Prodigy becoming the first names on the bill.

The rave giants re-captured their crown with the release of 'Invaders Must Die'. The band's most successful album for a decade, The Prodigy toured across the world making the record an international success.

Taking a short break, The Prodigy are set to blast back into the public consciousness in 2011. Confirmed to headline Snowbombing, the band will top a bill containing numerous exclusive performances.

The Austrian festival will celebrate its 11th anniversary next year, with music fans recovering from this Spring's event which featured performances from the likes of Doves, 2manyDJs and Friendly Fires.

Snowbombing takes place between April 4th - 9th.
