Broken Records November Tour

Edinburgh based indie folk collective Broken Records are set to hit the road this November.

Broken Records were formed by a group of musicians, who forged friendships on Edinburgh's open mic circuit. Loosely coalescing on singer Jamie Sutherland, the band began working on epic new material.

The Edinburgh group liken themselves to The Pogues, but with a distinct Bruce Springsteen feel. An epic live group, the band's debut album - while a strong offering - feel just short of their usual energy levels.

Returning to their hometown, the band have lost two members and gained one. Broken Records began working on new material, releasing a celebrated limited edition EP earlier this year.

Working in the studio, the band have crafted a second full length release. 'Let Me Come Home' is due to be released on October 25th, and was produced by sometime Mogwai collaborator Tony Doogan.

The result is a mature step forwards for Broken Records. Retaining the poetic sensibility of their debut, 'Let Me Come Home' is matched by a blast of energy which recalls the intensity of their live show.

The band are set to hit the road in November, with new member Craig Ross. Singer Jamie Sutherland seemed keen to let fans hear the upcoming album, saying that "having Craig on board signals a new chapter for Broken Records. We can't wait to get back on the road!".

Broken Records are set to open their November tour in Manchester, before heading around the country. The band are set to play The Borderline in London on November 9th, before hitting Glasgow's Arches on November 12th.

Finishing in Aberdeen on November 14th, tickets for all upcoming dates are due to go on sale from today (October 1st).
