A new recording from Amy Winehouse has leaked onto the internet, months before its scheduled release.

It's no exaggeration to say that for the past four years Amy Winehouse has allowed her lifestyle to overshadow her music. The singer has rarely performed, and even left the country to recuperate in the Caribbean.

A one off show in St Lucia was a disaster, with the singer eventually returning to the UK. Amy Winehouse has been scheduled to begin recording her new album for some time, but the end product still feels a long way off.

Which is why it's nice to hear a one off track. Amy Winehouse was recruited for a Quincy Jones tribute album last year, invited by the iconic producer himself to tackle one of his many, many hits.

Postponed due to spiralling drug and health issues, Amy Winehouse held back the release of the tribute album. Now it seems that the singer has finally completed her addition to the compilation.

A new recording featuring Amy Winehouse has surfaced online. The singer is heard rampaging through a version of the Lesley Gore classic 'It's My Party'.

A perennial favourite, the 1963 single remains an enduring classic. Rolling through the track, Amy Winehouse is paying tribute to Quincy Jones who of course helped to produce the original recording.

Set to be released early next year, the Quincy Jones tribute album features artists handpicked by the producer himself. Erring on the commercial side, the music legend has chosen artists such as Usher and Mariah Carey.

Head to YouTube to preview the track.
