Emerging from the same Parisian milieu that once spawned Daft Punk, Justice et al The Shoes have a hard act to follow.

Releasing a handful of singles earlier this year, the duo caught attention with their blistering synth-pop. Sure, the production is sheer Kitsune but beneath this lies something that a mainstream audience can hook onto.

The band's calling card is 'People Moving', a single released in 2009 which earned huge acclaim. A cult dancefloor hit, The Shoes used London based producer Primary One as guest vocalist.

Since then, The Shoes have been recruited for the forthcoming Shakira album. Mixing French electro with the usual brand of South American insanity, this could be one pop project to look out for.

Meanwhile, the band are also working on their own material. The Shoes recently returned with new single 'Stay The Same' which also recruits a London producer.

This time Esser steps up to the microphone, breaking cover to add some sublime vocals. Taken from their forthcoming debut album, 'Stay The Same' is sheer dancefloor abandon but with a pop edge.

ClashMusic have grabbed an alternative edit of the single, prised away from the duo's archives. Download it for free below...
