Aphex Twin is set to break cover for a no doubt eye-catching audio / visual set at this year's Bloc.

One of the most mysterious characters in electronic music, Aphex Twin recently told press that he had six albums of material sitting in the vaults. Oh yeah? Well let's hear it Richard, let's hear it.

Thing is, he probably does. Aphex Twin has gone almost a decade without releasing a new album and all that creativity has to go some place. Last summer the producer played a number of festival slots, including a bizarre turn at RockNess.

Making plans for 2011, rumours are emerging that this long awaited album could finally flourish. Don't hold your breath...

Aphex Twin is set to headline Bloc in March. Set in the Butlins camp at Minehead, the festival has confirmed the first names in its line up for 2011 and the reclusive Warp icon is scheduled to appear.

Alongside Richard D James the festival include a stage curated by bass heroine Mary Anne Hobbs. Amongst the names set to appear are UK Funky dons Roska and L-Vis 1990 with more to be confirmed.

Elsewhere, Kevin Martin will take his King Midas Sound project to Butlins while other additions include Venetian Snares, Jimmy Edgar and Daedelus.

Four Tet will bring his live show to Bloc, fresh from an incredible year which has seen him garner deserved acclaim for 'There Is Love In You'. Currently on tour with Caribou, the producer is set to open 2011 in Bloc.

Other new additions include dubstep producer Shackleton, Bristol legend Pinch, Untold, Digital Mystikz producer Mala and more.

Bloc takes place between March 11th - 13th.
