The Strokes are amongst the latest acts to be confirmed for the line up at Benicassim.
One of the most acclaimed festivals in Europe, Benicassim is set to return next year bigger and better than ever. The event has a strong British connection, with thousands of fans flying out to attend.
No wonder. Already confirmed for the line up are sets from Kasabian, Vampire Weekend, The Prodigy and cartoon collective Gorillaz with organisers recently announcing several more mouth watering acts.
The Strokes are set to headline Benicassim in 2011. The band's performance at RockNess this summer has gone down in festival folklore, a 'greatest hits' set from one of the decade's defining bands.
With their new album on the horizon, The Strokes are set to break cover by headlining Benicassim. The band have yet to preview any new material from their first album in six years.
Joining the band on the bill are anniversary rave crew Primal Scream, who are set to re-release 'Screamadelica' shortly.
A simply fantastic album, 'Screamadelica' defines the euphoric confusion of the post-rave era. Set to complete an anniversary tour in March, Primal Scream have been added to the line up for Benicassim.
Elsewhere, Arctic Monkeys have agreed to play a main stage slot at the Spanish event. With no album to promote or tour to coincide, it seems as if the Sheffield band simply fancy a trip out to the Spanish event.
