The Drums have confirmed details of a special one off intimate show in London.
The Drums have had a big year by any standard. Arriving with a barrel-load of hype, the New York based outfit caused a stir with their joyous brand of indie pop.
Since then, their self-titled debut album has gone silver with singles such as 'Let's Go Surfing' becoming indie dancefloor staples. Touring across the world, the new found pressures took their toll on the band.
Reduced to a trio, The Drums are now focussing on new material. Set to take a break early next year, the band are set to say farewell to their British fans with a special one off intimate show.
The band are due to play the tiny Queen Of Hoxton pub in London on December 13th. Set in a bustling area of London, the pub only has a capacity of 200 yet has a growing reputation for showcasing live music.
The upcoming show will take place as part of Island Records platform for live music, Island Life. The label will present an intimate show from the band, with entry for lucky fans being made entirely free.
Set to play two sold out show at The Forum this week, The Drums will make just one more appearance in the UK this year.
The Queen of Hoxton show will be on a first come, first served basis with only 200 people able to gain entry. Island Life is set to be a continuing series of free shows, with more information coming soon.
