Grinderman have been added to the line up of upcoming ATP event I'll Be Your Mirror.
Portishead have always boasted impeccable taste. Emblematic of the 'Bristol Sound' the group blurred down tempo hip hop beats with a sonic fetish which bordered on the exacting nature of dub.
Alongside this, the Bristol group mixed soul, funk, soundtracks and more. Confirmed to curate the forthcoming ATP event I'll Be Your Mirror Portishead are set to apply their careful tastes to the line up.
Due to play a headline set themselves, the band will be joined by Grinderman. A Nick Cave helmed project, the group recently returned with their sleazy, no holds barred second album 'Grinderman 2'.
Playing some outrageous dates across the UK, Grinderman is an excuse for Nick Cave to display his full throttle side.
Confirmed to appear by the Grinderman website, the Brighton based Australians join a rapidly growing line up. DOOM is set to appear, while Company Flow, Factory Floor and more will make a guest appearance.
An ATP sister event, I'll Be Your Mirror will be based at London's Alexandra Palace on July 23rd and 24th. A mixture of visual art and music, the Bristol group could be set to debut new material at the festival.
Portishead recently gave an interview in which they confirmed that they have begun work on their fourth album. Writing sessions will begin next year, with no proposed release date being confirmed.
Tickets are on sale now.
I'll Be Your Mirror takes place between July 23rd and 24th.
