The cult Small Faces biography 'Young Mods Forgotten Story' is set to be re-issued.

Torn apart at the tail end of 1968, Small Faces left behind them a formidable legacy. Yet over time the band's vital contribution to British pop music would be lost, leaving them all but forgotten.

Cult heroes, the young Mods remained vital to a devoted few. Then in the mid 90s record label Acid Jazz decided to publish the first book length biography of the group, in the form of 'Young Mods Forgotten Story'.

Written by Paolo Hewitt, the book gathered together the threads of the band's tale for the very first time. 'Young Mods Forgotten Story' followed them from teen idols to psychedelic wanderers, all the time immaculately turned out.

Mod icons, Small Faces were the darlings of Carnaby Street and are often remembered as much for their street suss as their sartorial flair.

Long out of print, copies of 'Young Mods Forgotten Story' now reach staggering sums on eBay. A revamped Acid Jazz have taken the decision to re-visit their roots and re-publish 'Young Mods Forgotten Story'.

A highly praised biography, the text has been superseded by more recent interviews but the range of photographs remains unsurpassed. Small Faces are timeless style icons, helping to inspire new generations of Modernists.

Just ask Noel Gallagher... "Not only did they make some of the best records of their era but the way they behaved, the way they dressed and most important of all their love for music put them in a different class.”

The classic tale of a 60s group ripped apart by poor management, 'Young Mods Forgotten Story' is set to be re-designed and updated for release next year. With a full box set set to be released alongside the biography, 2011 could see the return of the Small Faces.

'Young Mods Forgotten Story' is due to be released in November 2010.
