Miles Kane has spoken about his forthcoming solo album, revealing that it was an "emotional" experience.
Splitting from The Rascals, Miles Kane decided to go it alone. Enjoying success and acclaim with The Last Shadow Puppets, the Liverpool based songwriter opted to work under his own name.
Crafting new material, the songwriter's forthcoming album was recorded in a variety of locations across the globe. At one point working in San Francisco, guest stars on the album include Gruff Rhys and Noel Gallagher.
With new single 'Inhaler' causing a ruckus, Miles Kane is preparing to release his new album in January. Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, the singer explained that recording sessions were "emotional".
"I had a bit of a comedown", he admitted. "So it took a while to get back into the flow... It's been a complete journey."
Recently heading out on tour across the country, Miles Kane opted to play a series of small shows. "They've only been a few hundred capacity", he explained. "But the kids seem to be having it. It's hard when you're playing a set and no-one has heard any of these songs. I'm just glad people are there and are digging it."
Set to finish the year with a few more one off shows, Miles Kane has formed a new live band including Eugene McGuinness starring on guitar. Due to support The Courteeners, the group will preview the singer's forthcoming album.
