The xx have submitted handwritten lyrics to a new publication dedicated to the London band.
The xx have always been about more than just music. The London band have always had an interest in visual arts, performing onstage dressed in black with sombre - yet carefully planned - lighting.
Scooping the Mercury Music Prize with their debut album, The xx have expanded their interests in visual art. Recently taking part in a special installation, the band have now submitted an item to a new magazine.
Named 'The Tourist' the limited edition 40 page magazine is on sale now. Dedicated to the band themselves, The xx are shown in previously unseen photographs with handwritten lyrics also on show.
Oliver Sim and Romy Madley Croft have submitted material, with 'The Tourist' kept limited to 500 copies. As a special bonus, the first 100 also come with a limited edition 'xx' T-shirt designed by Vans.

Of course, all this arts collaboration is distracting the band from getting on with new material. The xx have been touring widely and have yet to knuckle to the construction of their second album.
In fact, the band even found time to switch on their local Christmas lights recently... Get back to work guys!
Jamie Smith, though, has been extremely busy. Releasing a soca inspired UK Funky cut on Numbers the producer has also been invited to remix incendiary black American poet Gil Scott Heron.
Re-tooling his recent comeback album, 'We're New Here' is set to be released through XL on February 21st.
