Coldplay Finish Christmas Shows

Coldplay have finished the second of their special Christmas shows in aid of homeless charity Crisis.

With temperatures plummeting across the country, imagine facing the prospect of having no home to go to. For thousands of homeless people around the UK the winter months are literally a matter of life and death.

Eager to help, Coldplay have hooked up with homeless charity Crisis. Returning with their festive themed new single 'Christmas Lights' the band have played two shows in aid of the organisation.

The band's only UK shows in 2010, Coldplay did not disappoint. Trawling through their back catalogue during the sold out dates in Liverpool and Newcastle, the band were joined by a few famous friends.

Keeping fans entertained in Newcastle were hometown boys Ant and Dec. Joking with the crowd, their were met by a wave of cheers from the crowd.

Meanwhile, fans in Liverpool enjoyed an appearance from Take That star Gary Barlow. Joining in on a rendition of 'Christmas Lights' the singer remained onstage for a quick rendition of 'Back For Good'.

With Chris Martin at the piano, the pair completed a fun duet to the delight of fans. Raising more than £250,000 per show for Crisis, Coldplay have ensured that the charity's work can be expanded.
