Foo Fighters are hoping to work with some of their fans on an upcoming video.
One of the biggest bands on the planet, Foo Fighters match enormous fame with a real down to earth nature. Famously one of the nicest men in rock, Dave Grohl has turned the attention back on his fans.
Returning with their much anticipated new album, Foo Fighters are keeping millions of fans in anticipation. However if the band get their way, then one lucky fans will actually be working with them on their new video.
Previously, the band have worked with such heavyweights as Michel Gondry and the Malloys. Now, though, Foo Fighters intend to work a completely unknown director after putting a call out to fans.
Releasing two videos, the group outlined their plans for the video. Fans can enter via the website Thisvideosucks, which is hosting the competition, before Foo Fighters whittle down the entrants.
Issuing a statement, Foo Fighters put out "a call to all aspiring filmmakers" asking them to "upload your reel and show us what you've got!"
Eleven winners will be chosen, with Foo Fighters allowing each director to make their own video for the as yet unknown track. Each promo will premiere on FuseMusic in the near future.
