Finland nutjobs K-X-P have confirmed details of a British tour ahead of their debut album.
Hailing from Finland, K-X-P come burdened with expectation. With Scandinavia now closely associated with lilting indie pop, some would expect the trio to come equipped with lush songwriting, chiming guitars and more.
Errrm no. That's not what K-X-P are about. Avant electronics, the trio make an almighty racket which sits somewhere between Suicide, 'Ardkore and even Scandinavia's other great export: metal.
Cult favourites, K-X-P were long ago adopted by the Optimo crew with the trio dropped by their late, lamented Sub Club residency. Returning to Finland to work on their debut album, the trio are now ready to unleash the results.
Signed to the ever reliable Smalltown Supersound label, K-X-P are set to release their debut album later this year. A blistering concoction of molten electronics and pounding riffs, the trio are set to visit the UK later this month.
K-X-P have confirmed a number of British tour dates beginning with a Lexington show in London. Shifting across to Ireland for two shows, the band will return to the UK for a set in Glasgow's Captain's Rest.
Ending in Leeds on January 26th, K-X-P will finish the tour with a show at the city's Brudenell Social Club venue.
