New York side project La Sera have revealed details of new single 'Devils Hearts Grow Old' on January 18th.
The current wave of indie pop from Brooklyn and New York is marked by cross pollination. The barriers between bands break down, forming new projects and helping produce an element of forward progression in the scene.
A member of Vivian Girls, Katy Goodman has decided to step out on her own. Forming La Sera, the trio released a handful of singles last year. Immediately marking themselves out as being gifted songwriters, La Sera matched the ramshackle elements of Vivian Girls with their own identity.
Completing work on their debut album, a tour with Johnny and Jenny followed. The British winter intervened, sadly meaning that several shows were cancelled but the trio are set to return shortly.
Confirming details of their new single, La Sera are due to release 'Devils Hearts Grow Old' on January 18th. A typically wicked blend of sweet melodies and savage lyrics, the track is taken from their debut album.
Self-titled, the full length effort is due to drop on February 14th. The latest broadcast from Katy Goodman, the singer is also a member of All Saints Day and even launched her own label Wild World.
Due to return to the UK next month, La Sera are set to play White Heat at Madame Jojos on February 1st. Travelling to Bristol for a one off show on February 19th, the tour ends in London with a date at the Lexington.
