Dutch dubstep producer 2562 is set to launch a new label with a limited edition ten inch.
Dubstep is a broad church. For every dread warrior there is a techno head, drawn by the genres forward thinking reputation. Take Dutch producer 2562, who merges techno with Brixton bass.
Real name Dave Huismans, the producer has a background in techno. Stumbling across dubstep his outlook on music was severely altered, leading to cuts such as the self-explanatory 'Techno Dread'.
Releasing his debut album 'Aerial' the producer established himself as one of the foremost dubstep producers outside of the UK. Now 2562 has announced plans to launch his own label, with a limited edition ten inch.
Recently choosing to work outside of the bass spectrum, Huismans has been using the A Made Up Sound moniker to release four to the floor flavoured techno.
Adopting the guise of 2562, the Dutch beatsmith is set to return to the fold. His first bass release in almost twelve months, the producer plans to launch his new When In Doubt imprint later this year.
The dubstep producer will lead the charge, releasing the new two track ten inch 'Aquatic Family Affair' / 'This Is Hardcore'. Pressed on blue vinyl, the track will be limited to just 300 copies with no re-press likely.
