The Vaccines have been forced to cancel two shows after their singer underwent a throat operation.
Aiming to put guitar music back into the charts, The Vaccines have been talking big. However recently those shouts have been reduced to a whisper due to singer Justin Young enduring throat problems.
The band's massive schedule included a nationwide tour last year, with The Vaccines aiming to make good on the hype. With more dates planned for the Spring, the band have endured some wear and tear.
Putting stress on his throat, singer Justin Young has been forced to undergo a minor operation. As a result, The Vaccines have been forced to cancel two shows including an appearance at Eurosonic Noorderslag.
Held in Holland, Eurosonic is one of Europe's most important music showcase events. A launching pad for countless bands, The Vaccines will be sorely missed at this year's anniversary event.
Alongside this, the good citizens of Tunbridge Wells must make do without The Vaccines. Cancelling the show, the date has already been re-scheduled for February 21st - original tickets remain valid.
Currently recuperating, The Vaccines tour opens on January 29th with a sold out show in London's Kings College. After this, the band will move around the country playing Glasgow's Academy on February 3rd.
With their debut album due to be released in March, the band will preview new material at the shows. Ending with that show in Tunbridge Wells on February 21st, tickets are on sale now.
