Swedish singer Lykke Li is set to release new single 'I Follow Rivers' on February 14th.

With her tender voice and sensitive songwriting, Lykke Li has proved herself to be a cut above the usual acoustic talent. The Swedish songwriter earned acclaim for her debut, and is now set to return with a fresh instalment.

Second album 'Wounded Rhymes' is due to be released later this Spring, with Lykke Li on typically thoughtful form. The singer has kept new material under wraps, but has confirmed details of a new single.

Taken from her new album, 'I Follow Rivers' is a striking return. A stark contrast to previous release 'Get Some' the new single is an ode to the dark, destructive side of relationships.

A paranoid, haunting track Lykke Li intones the lyrics: “Oh I beg you: can I follow? Oh I ask you: why not always? Be the ocean, where I unravel. Be my only, be the water.”

The single will come packaged with remixes from - among others - TV On The Radio producer Dave Sitek, Magician, Subliminal Kid and more.

Already a hit with bloggers, the track has heightened expectations around 'Wounded Rhymes'. Due for release this Spring, the album will be followed by a lengthy series of tour dates this April.

Launching in Bristol on April 12th, the shows move around the country. Taking in dates at Leeds, Glasgow and Manchester the Swedish singer will take control of the Shepherd's Bush Empire on April 14th.

Tickets are on sale now.
