Caribou are amongst the latest additions to the line up for Spain's Primavera Sound.
One of Europe's premiere events, Primavera Sound is assembling a typically diverse line up for 2011's line up. The festival has already confirmed special performances from reformed Britpop group Pulp, legendary musician John Cale and more.
Taking place across various stages, ATP has agreed to curate a weekend's worth of activities. Mixing new talent with classic acts, the latest update to the line up includes an appearance from Caribou.
Last year's 'Swim' pushed Dan Snaith into the public gaze, achieving a vast crossover success. Sun fried psychedelia with glitchy electronics, the album ranked high in those pesky 'End Of Year' polls.
Live, however, Caribou are a completely different entity. The looping grooves of the material are extended, pushing the songs until they crack into a thousand pieces.
Confirmed to perform at Primavera Sound, Caribou have been booked to perform on the ATP Stage. Also joining the festival line up are classic Liverpool post-punk group Echo & The Bunnymen.
The band remain an enticing live act, and have agreed to perform their classic first two albums - 'Crocodiles' and 'Heaven Up Here' - for the Spanish crowd. Echo & The Bunnymen aren't the only act looking back over their past, with American psych-pop wanderers Mercury Rev playing 'Deserter's Songs'.
Other acts confirmed to play ATP's stage include Deakin, BMX Bandits, Me And The Bees, My Teenage Stride and - somewhat unexpectedly - The Vaccines.
Meanwhile, time is running out for Primavera's early bird ticket offer. The initial price is just €150 for a weekend pass, but this offer runs out on Saturday (January 15th) when the ticket price will begin to gradually rise.
Primavera Sound is due take place between May 26th - 28th.
