Canadian group Arcade Fire are set to perform live at this year's BRIT Awards ceremony.
The shake up at the BRIT Awards looks set to reap dividends this year. Confirming the full list of nominations last week, groups such as The xx, Mumford & Sons and Arcade Fire were given prominent placings.
Of course, they will have to do battle with pop outfits but that is to be expected. It seems that the BRIT Awards is no close to achieving the compromise needed by a major industry ceremony.
Announcing the full list of performers at the February 15th ceremony, organisers have confirmed a performance from Arcade Fire.
Right now perhaps one of the planet's finest rock groups, Arcade Fire recently completed a stunning tour of the UK. Matching a fine back catalogue with a firm emotional punch, the Canadian group left fans stunned.
Now the band are set to gain a prominent slot at the BRIT Awards. Nominated in two categories, the Canadian group will be joined by foul mouthed popster Cee-Lo Green, Adele and more.
British indie folk types Mumford & Sons are also due to perform, celebrating the stunning success of their debut album. Elsewhere, more predictable BRITs fare such as Rihanna, Tinie Tempah and Take That are due to take part.
Don't forget - the BRIT Awards are now broadcast live. Taking place in the O2 Arena, fans will be able to watch the action as it happens on ITV1.
