Explosions In The Sky are set to return with their new album 'Take Care, Take Care, Take Care' on April 25th.
It looks like a big year for fans of post-rock. Godspeed You! Black Emperor recently reformed, while trailblazing groups Mogwai and Explosions In The Sky are both preparing to release new material.
Hailing from Texas, Explosions In The Sky make awe inspiring soundscapes. Huge earthquakes of sound, the band mix extreme volume with moments of genuinely introspective beauty.
Returning with their first blast of new material since 2007, Explosions In The Sky have confirmed plans for a new album. The band are due to release 'Take Care, Take Care, Take Care' on April 25th.
Recorded last year, Explosions In The Sky hooked up with producer John Congleton. The entire tracklisting has been confirmed, with the six track album opening with 'Last Known Surroundings'.
The epic nature of the music is reflected in song titles such as 'Trembling Hands' and 'Let Me Back In'. Will 'Postcards From 1952' be a beautiful elegiac lament? Time will tell...
Meanwhile, Explosions In The Sky are due to play a series of British shows. The concerts open with an Irish show on May 16th, before dates follow in Manchester and London. Moving across to the continent, the Texas post-rock group are set to play shows in Germany, France, Belgium and more.
