Leeds based producer Ramadanman is set to compile the next edition of FabricLive.
The more fragmented the dubstep scene becomes, the more vital Ramadanman's role seems to become. In 2010 the producer didn't put a step wrong, releasing a series of forward thinking cuts.
Using Ramadanman for his dubstep releases, Kennedy also tackled future house under the name Pearson Sound. To cap it all off Hessle Audio - the label he co-runs with Ben UFO and Pangaea - has pushed its way to the front of the scene.
Clearly, a good time to be Ramadanman. Now the producer has confirmed details of his mix for FabricLive, containing a host of unreleased and rare material.
Opening with an exclusive track from Pearson Sound, the producer flips between monikers. Including some brand new cuts, Ramadanman also drops in a few newcomers as well as old favourites.
Bristol producer Julio Bashmore gets the nod with 'Battle For Middle You' while Ramadanman also includes a neat remix of Joy Orbison. UK Funky is represented, with the Bok Bok remix of Girl Unit's vital 'IRL' while Pearson Sound donates a special fabric edit of Pearson Sound.
Meanwhile, Ramadanman never loses sight of his roots. At one point, the DJ drops 'Qawwali' by Pinch, the Middle Eastern flavoured track which has come for many to be one of dubstep's defining moments.
Continually moving between styles, the tracklisting contains some curveballs including house and techno cuts in between a track from 'Shangaan Electro' - the recent Honest Jon's compilation of South African electro.
Ending with 'Light Swells (In A Distant Space)' by Sigha, the FabricLive mix captures one of the best bass producers in the country at full flow.
