Amy Winehouse is set to play a high profile slot at this year's Bilbao BBK Festival.
Held in the stunning Spanish countryside, Bilbao BBK has been quietly building a reputation as a festival to watch. In 2011, the event looks set to break big after confirming an appearance from Amy Winehouse.
The troubled singer recently completed a short tour of Brazil, bringing her retro soul to South America. Finishing the dates without any major problems, Amy Winehouse is now focussed on her European return.
With recording sessions said to be going well, the singer is set to perform at Bilbao BBK. Amy Winehouse will headline the Spanish event, marking her return to the European festival scene after a considerable absence.
The Grammy award winning star will appear at the event, which has already confirmed an exclusive appearance from Coldplay. Chris Martin & Co. are also set to headline Bilbao BBK, which will be their sole visit to Spanish soil this summer.
Elsewhere, Bilbao BBK has confirmed appearances from Crystal Castles, Jack Johnson and The Black Crowes. The American rockers remain a huge concert draw, with their retro-rock thrills set to illuminate the Spanish event.
The band have already confirmed a series of massive British shows, beginning in July. The Black Crowes are set to headline Bilbao BBK with other names on the line up including dance giants The Chemical Brothers.
The festival is currently running a special early bird package through various ticket sites. Just 1000 passes will be made available, but the offer allows fans to attend the entire weekend (plus camping) for just £75.
