After 11 years, The Loves are retiring. Their fourth and final LP …Love You (which was Artrocker’s LP Of The Month in their December/January issue) serves as the closing chapter in a story that has included 4 John Peel radio sessions, countless band members coming & going, some mental illness, a lot of alcohol and shows up & down the country with bands like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Apples In Stereo, The Rapture, Darren Hayman and The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart.
They’re holding a retirement party at The Lexington in London on Sunday the 13 February 2011 featuring a cavalcade of bands that they’ve played with over the years including Comet Gain, The School, The Lovely Eggs, Pocketbooks, The Vinyl Stitches and The Werewandas.
