Razorlight Confirm Line Up Change

Razorlight have confirmed yet another change to their line up after a new photo leaked online.

Razorlight were always centred on Johnny Borrell. A man with an ego the size of a planet, the frontman simply hired Scandinavian session musicians in order to flesh out his early material.

Later becoming a fully fledged band, Razorlight have had more drummer than Spinal Tap. Former sticksman Andy Burrows left in 2009, with the nice man of rock deciding to launch his own solo career.

An announcement yesterday (January 26th) that Razorlight were to play Guilfest was accompanied by an already infamous new photo. Featuring an updated line up, the British rockers were styled in the most bizarre way possible.

A comprehensive own goal, the band were then forced to issue a statement updating fans on their future. It seems that recording sessions last year were dogged by internal friction, leading to the departure of two members.

Founder members Bjorn Agren (guitar) and Carl Dalemo (bass) agreed to leave, following unproductive writing sessions. Agren is currently producing, remixing and playing guitar with Lucy Rose and Carl Dalemo is planning his own band.

Never one to let circumstances get him down, Johnny Borrell simply located a few new members. Gus Robertson comes in as guitarist and Freddie Stitz joins the band on bass, while Skully remains on drums.

All of which means that Johnny Borrell is the sole surviving member of the band's initial line up.

Razorlight are set to headline a number of shows this summer, while work on their new album is ongoing.

Now let's look at that photo once again...
