Dubstep troubadour Jamie Woon is set to release his new single 'Lady Luck' on February 20th.
When the BBC Sound of 2011 list was revealed, something strange happened. There were two artists who blended dubstep with sensitive songwriting, both having stunning voices and both sharing the same first name.
The twin James have gone on to enjoy massive acclaim. James Blake released his debut album last week, while contemporary Jamie Woon is gearing up for his biggest tour yet.
Jamie Woon released his single 'Night Air' in late 2010, whetting appetites. A mixture of sub bass and stunning songcraft, dubstep pioneer Burial helped out on the studio to add a sense of sonic exactness.
Preparing to launch his latest tour, Jamie Woon has confirmed details of a new single. 'Lady Luck' is set to gain its first ever radio play on Mistajam's show, with the release following immediately afterwards.
Due to become available on February 20th, the track builds up to the release of Jamie Woon's debut album. 'mirrorwriting' is scheduled for release in April, ending months of hype and speculation.
Opening with a sold out show in Oxford, Jamie Woon's upcoming tour contains some special dates. Running across the length and breadth of the country the tour ends with a show in Nottingham.
