Deerhunter are set to release their new single 'Memory Boy' as part of Record Store Day.

Led by Bradford Cox, Deerhunter have become one of the most respected groups in the American underground. Moving between all out noise and gentle melody, the band's songwriting breaks through boundaries.

Returning late last year with their new album 'Halcyon Digest' the group seemed rejuvenated. Rewarded with critical applause, it has become one of their most successful sonic documents to date.

Touring across the United States and beyond, Deerhunter recently dropped by Letterman. A breakthrough moment for the band, the Atlanta collective stormed through a version of 'Memory Boy'.

The track is taken from 'Halcyon Digest' and is expanded to near psychedelic proportions by a guest keyboard player. Deerhunter are now focussing their sights on the UK, with the release of a new single.

'Memory Boy' is due to be released as a seven inch on April 16th, or Record Store Day as it has become known. Deerhunter are joining a slew of bands releasing material on that date, with the single due to contain the entirely new track 'Nosebleed'.

Alongside this, Deerhunter have arranged a short tour of the UK. Beginning with an Irish date on March 25th, the tour includes a show at the Oran Mor in Glasgow and Manchester's Sound Control.

The band are due to play London on March 31st, tackling the Shepherds Bush Empire. Later travelling to the continent, tickets for all British and Irish tour dates are on sale now.

Deerhunter are set to play the following shows:

March
25 Dublin Button Factory
26 Belfast The Stiff Kitten
28 Glasgow Oran Mor
29 Leeds The Irish Centre
30 Manchester Sound Control
31 London Shepherds Bush Empire
