Caribou and Four Tet are set to release a split 12 inch on Kieran Hebden's own Text label.
Caribou and Four Tet go back a long way. The two producers are both based in London, and have frequently remixed one another in the past. Uniting last year, a nationwide tour showcased both live shows.
Four Tet pushes his electronica into blistering new territory, while Caribou's live set up incorporates a full band performance. The tour was a stunning event, with Nathan Fake and rocketnumber9 also appearing.
Now Caribou and Four Tet are set to release a split 12 inch. The announcement was made earlier this week, with Kieran Hebden's own Text Recordings set to take care of the one off disc.
It is not know if the productions were completed separately, or if the 12 inch is a full collaboration. Previously, Four Tet has worked with several other producers, notably resulting in a split 12 inch with Burial.
Caribou confirmed the news on his SoundCloud page, and made his new track 'Ye Ye' available to stream. Using the name Daphni, the track is due to be released later this month. Listen to it below...
Meanwhile, Caribou is continuing to announce new tour dates. The London based producer is due to play Primavera this summer, while an appearance at the ATP event I'll Be Your Mirror has been confirmed.
