Wild Beasts have added two shows to their upcoming May tour, alongside a number of festival appearances.
With their previous studio album 'Two Dancers' receiving overwhelming critical plaudits, Wild Beasts are under pressure on their new material. Written and recorded last year, the band recently broke cover to announce a new album.
Due to be released 'Smother' on May 9th. Weighing in at a handy ten tracks, Wild Beasts have kept the material under lock and key although they are promising to debut several tracks on their upcoming UK tour.
Recently announced, the dates open in Newcastle on May 5th. With three shows already sold out, Wild Beasts have decided to add two new shows to the tour.
The Kendal band will return to the Lake District for a special show in the town of Ulverston in Cumbria, which will take place at the Coronation Hall on May 7th. Alongside this, Wild Beasts have added a second Leeds show.
Their first ever date in the city, Wild Beasts sold out the main show within 48 hours. In order to cope with demand, the band are due to play a special matinee performance in the afternoon at the Brudenell Social Club.
Wild Beasts are also planning to play a number of festivals this summer, with a headline appearance at Field Day perhaps the pick of the bunch. Due to play End Of The Road, the band are also set to appear at the Isle Of Wight festival and Dublin's Forbidden Fruit Festival.
