Primal Scream are set to take 'Screamadelica' to Glastonbury this summer, after confirming an appearance.

Returning with another instalment, Glastonbury is one of the biggest music events of the summer. Selling out months in advance, the festival is a glorious mixture of music and mystical mayhem.

Headlined by U2, Coldplay and Beyonce the news was greeted with mixed reactions. Some fans pointed out that Glastonbury is more about the overall experience, with more names being added to the bill.

Primal Scream are set to appear at Glastonbury this summer. The band are currently re-visiting their classic 1991 album 'Screamadelica' which remains a blistering mixture of house, techno, dub and more.

Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis has regularly cited the record as a personal favourite, and Primal Scream will play 'Screamdelica' in full at the Worthy Farm event.

A potentially historic occasion, the loose vibes of Glastonbury is perhaps the best place on the planet to experience 'Screamadelica'. Part of a batch of new additions, Primal Scream will be joined by Crystal Castles, Laura Marling and more.

Mumford & Sons are due to appear at the Somerset event, while Los Angeles group Warpaint are also set to play. Dance giants The Chemical Brothers have confirmed a no doubt show stopping performance, with the band drawing on the full power of their back catalogue.

Elsewhere, Glastonbury have confirmed an appearance from Fleet Foxes. The American group are currently preparing to unleash their second album 'Helplessness Blues' and have prepared a short burst of British shows.

Other acts on the bill include Friendly Fires, with many more set to be added towards the opening of the gates.

Glastonbury runs between June 24th - 26th.
