Scottish indie folk troupe Frightened Rabbit have confirmed details of a new UK tour.
In the current indie-folk boom, its easy for bands to get lost by the wayside. While the chirping harmonies of Stornoway have become a chart success, it seems that the deeply personal songwriting of Frightened Rabbit has been pushed to one side.
Which is a tragedy. Returning with their third album 'The Winter Of Mixed Drinks' last year, the band completed a remarkable opening trilogy.
Not quite as dark as their second album, 'The Winter Of Mixed Drinks' was a more rounded, assured affair. Released to widespread acclaim, is demonstrated that singer Scott Hutchison was becoming one of the most inventive songwriters of his generation.
Since then Frightened Rabbit have toured heavily. Joined by new member Gordon Skene, the expanded Scottish folk collective have travelled the world bringing their intense brand of songwriting along with them.
The band's latest single 'Living In Colour' is out now, backed by a typically eye catching video. Alongside this, the Scottish group have arranged a series of festival dates taking place around the country.
Now Frightened Rabbit have confirmed details of a winter tour. The band will launch the trek in Bristol's Ansom Rooms with dates stretching across the country throughout November and December.
Tickets are set to go on sale shortly, with the tour including massive dates at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire and Glasgow's historic Barrowlands.
