Gnarls Barkley singer Cee-Lo is set to cover Band Of Horses on his forthcoming solo album.

Gnarls Barkley emerged as a fully fledged pop entity. Yet their sudden success belied the years of work vocalist Cee-Lo Green had accomplished.

A session musician, he had also written plenty of his own material. Picked to work with Danger Mouse, Gnarls Barkley would be nothing with his effortlessly soulful vocals adorning their material.

Now the singer is close to completing his new solo album. Working with an array of producers the album is provisionally titled 'Cee-Lo Is The Lady Killer' and sees the singer joined by a host of collaborators.

Paul Epworth produces one track, while producers such as Salaam Remi and Fraser T Smith also contribute to the new material.

Cee-Lo is keen to let fans hear what he has been up to. The vocalist recently played a new version of 'Georgia' on his website as a free download, giving a good indication of the album's sound.

Meanwhile, the singer dropped by Zane Lowe's studio at Radio One last night (June 30th) to hand over a special new track. Cee-Lo has decided to cover Band Of Horses stunning track 'No One's Gonna Love You'.

Turned into a Motown style soul number, it is retro without looking backwards. The Paul Epworth mix is due to be released on August 9th, with the full length album following shortly afterwards.
