I Blame Coco is set to release her single ‘Self Machine’ on July 12th. The 19-year-old singer, Coco Sumner, daughter of Sting and Trudie Styler releases the single ahead of her debut album, which is to follow later in 2010.
As the follow up to the limited edition, and critically acclaimed single, ‘Caesar’, Coco’s gloriously husky vocals present a new single with a sound light years ahead of the pack. Produced by Foat, Boddy and Klas Ahlund and mixed by Mark 'Spike' Stent, ‘Self Machine’ features an infectious chorus, bound to be popular in both the indie and electro club scene.
I Blame Coco recently toured with La Roux, appeared at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in May with Subfocus and has collaborated with Fyfe Dangerfield on a version of Neil Young’s classic track ‘Only Love Can Break Your Heart’. I Blame Coco is certainly a rising star, ‘Self Machine’ definitely worth a listen, and if you’re lucky enough you might just catch her at a festival this summer!
I Blame Coco festival dates to be announced shortly.
