Southampton indie stars Delays have confirmed an epic new British tour following the release of their new album.
Retreating to their hometown, Delays found themselves coming full circle. Opening sessions for their new album, the band retreated to the rehearsal room before hooking up with the production team behind their debut album.
The result is one of the band's most personal offerings to date. Delays released 'Star Tiger, Star Ariel' earlier this year, a mixture of stunning vocals, evocative lyrics and just a smattering of electronica.
Delays followed the album with a short British tour in April. Shockingly, this was the band's first live outing in two years, and the Southampton outfit were eager to test their performing muscles again.
Acclaimed by fans, the band have played a handful of festival shows. Now Delays have confirmed an epic British tour, following a spot of surgery.
Frontman Greg Gilbert is a keen football fan, but sadly injured himself during a kick about with mates. Set to undergo an operation on his knee, once the frontman has recuperated the band will head out on the road.
The eleven date tour opens on October 4th with a show at Brighton's Concorde venue. Taking in dates across the country, the tour will finish with a hometown performance at Southampton on October 16th.
Tickets for the shows are set to go on sale shortly, with full support details yet to be confirmed.
