Chilled out American producer Neon Indian has confirmed details of his debut album 'Psychic Chasms'.
With the long hot summer upon us, music fans need something which raises the pulse but still sounds chilled out. New American producer Alan Palamo could well fit the bill, with his Neon Indian project gaining warm reviews.
Palamo began life working under the name VEGA, releasing a string of up tempo synth-pop odysseys. Earning a good reputation, the producer found that he was crafting a number of tracks which didn't fit the VEGA mould.
Instead, the producer released them under the name Neon Indian. Coinciding with new work from Toro Y Moi and Washed Out, the chillwave name was coined to cover their laid back sample-delica.
Releasing a string of tracks online, Neon Indian has now confirmed details of his debut album. 'Psychic Chasms' is due to be released on September 20th, the album follows some high profile slots for the producer.
Neon Indian recently appeared on American talk show Jimmy Fallon, with the producer also playing a number of important North American festivals. With hype around his album increasing, Neon Indian has confirmed a British release date.
Already available in the States, 'Psychic Chasms' will be accompanied with a number of remixes. The likes of Toro y Moi, Javelin, and Yacht have helped rework the album for a release titles ‘Mind Ctrl: Psychic Chasms Possessed’.
The new remixes blend producers from both sides of the Atlantic, with Warp Records signing Bibio taking on 'Mind, Drips'. The bonus material also includes a new track, with Neon Indian donating 'Sleep Paralysist'.
Neon Indian will release 'Psychic Chasms' in the UK on September 20th.
