Ian Brown Adds Warehouse Project Date

Indie icon Ian Brown has confirmed an intimate hometown show are the Warehouse Project.

Ian Brown remains an icon. The one time Stone Roses singer has navigated the waters of British music as a solo artist for over a decade now, accumulating some acclaimed material under his own name.

The singer recently returned to his hometown for a massive one off show. Taking over Platt Fields, Ian Brown invited some close friends along for the ride.

A celebration of more than two decades of Manchester music, the show including performances from UNKLE, Bad Lieutenant, electro rockers The Whip and a DJ set from New Order bassist Peter Hook.

The show sold out in record time, with more than 15,000 fans congregating on the area. A huge success, it demonstrated the enduring appeal of Ian Brown with fans chanting his name throughout the set.

Now Ian Brown is due to return to Manchester for a special performance. The singer will appear at the city's acclaim venue The Warehouse Project, in front of just a few hundred lucky fans.

The show is just 10% the normal capacity for an Ian Brown set, with fans already rushing to buy tickets. Taking place on December 17th the announcement was made via the Ian Brown Fan Forum.

Support slots for the show have yet to be confirmed. The performance is the latest exclusive for the Warehouse Project, who have also scheduled in upcoming shows from Maximo Park, Doves, Booka Shade and more.

Better known as a dance venue, The Warehouse Project has also announced that the resident DJs this year will be Jamie Jones, Joy Orbison and the Mercury nominated indie star Jamie xx.
