Fine rum merchants Sailor Jerry are set to bring a 1930s tattoo parlour to some of the country's top outdoor events.
Festivals have now expanded beyond music. At some events, it's possible to have a great weekend without hearing a single not of music, such is the variety of stalls, workshops and other experiences on offer.
Sailor Jerry have been linking arms with music fans throughout the summer, now the purveyors of fine rum have unveiled plans for an inventive tattoo parlour.
At some top events later this year the brand will host a 1930s themed party with some stellar music. Fans can get a unique memento of their time at The Big Chill and Bestival, with Sailor Jerry opening Ink City.
An utterly unique tattoo parlour, fans can get a design inspired by tattoo master Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins. A famed ink artist, Collins lent his name to the award winning rum. The more timid amongst you can make do with a showcase of his designs, which adorn some well known bodies.
As well as the ink artistry of Norman Collins, fans will be kept entertained by some choice music. Scottish math rock gurus Errors are cresting a wave of acclaim following the release of their stunning second album.
Released through Rock Action, the Glasgow based group are a sizzling live act who can stretch their material out into techno inspired territories.
Other acts confirmed for the Ink City parties include Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, I Blame Coco and Stateside indie rockers White Rabbits. Returning with their second album earlier this year the American group earned widespread acclaim for their dual drum assault.
In addition to this, Sailor Jerry are planning to announce a number of additional live acts and DJs for both weekends.
The new Ink City events cap a memorable summer for Sailor Jerry which has seen them host events at Camden Crawl, The Great Escape and more.
