Art punk outlaws Pulled Apart By Horses have confirmed plans for a new single and a British tour.
Some bands emerge onstage and don't quite know what to do with themselves. Pulled Apart By Horses are not one of those bands.
Hailing from Leeds, the post-hardcore nut jobs are all flailing limbs, broken bodies and collapsing riffs. Brutal, snot-laden shows have given way to a growing appreciation, though, of their songwriting.
Pulled Apart By Horses released their debut album earlier this year, the sprightly 'Back To The Fuck Yeah'. Visceral? Sure. But on repeated listens the material opens up, demonstrating a hugely thoughtful side.
New single 'High Five, Swan Dive, Nose Dive' is taken from the new album. Due to be released on September 6th, the single is completely infectious yet utterly in your face.
“It’s a celebration of fired up dancing and the slapping of human palms connecting with one another,” explains guitarist James Brown.
“It was penned to unite its listeners via the medium of discordant wailing and flailing bodies. We hoped to infuse dance floors and peoples legs with its reigning rhythm. It's good for your health to party, so here is a musical invite to ours!”
Set to be released on seven inch vinyl and as a digital download, Pulled Apart By Horses have confirmed a number of shows. Supporting Foals on selected British tour dates the group are also due to see out the year with a gig in London on December 2nd.
The new dates sit alongside previously announced festival slots, including appearances at Underage, Reading & Leeds and End Of The Road.
