Boasting varied backgrounds - everything from classical chambers to the soundsystem - Digitonal bring all of these influences to the fore. The London band's output is ever questing, melting down the barriers between genres.
With their back catalogue scattered over the course of a decade, introductions to Digitonal can be painful. Thankfully, the band have decided to collect a number of their early recordings onto one disc.
'Be Still My Bleeping Heart' is out now, gathering classic and unfamiliar material. Released via the band's long term home of Just Music, Digitonal demonstrate just how versatile they are, seeming to accept any challenge put to them.
Arranging a series of British live shows, Digitonal are set to break cover this summer. Set to play a number of one off dates, ClashMusic have decided to grab a free preview.
'Come And Play' is an oscillating, shifting, mysterious slice of electronica. Indicative of the group's perfectionist approach, it can be found alongside a slew of rare material on 'Be Still My Bleeping Heart'.
