Australian indie punks Philadelphia Grand Jury have confirmed a new single and a lengthy UK tour.
Sure, 'The X Factor' might be ruling the charts but underneath this the independent lifestyle is still strong. Hailing from Australia, Philadelphia Grand Jury are evidence of this after releasing a string of singles.
The band make feel good punk-pop gems, boasting smart as hell lyrics and catchy melodies. Just played LOUD. Philadelphia Grand Jury caught the attention earlier this year after being featured on the Too Pure singles club, with their offering 'The Good News' selling out almost instantly.
Now a collectors item, the band played a handful of shows to show British fans what they were missing. Now Philadelphia Grand Jury have confirmed details of a new single, this time via Communion Records.
A well respected independent label, Communion Records are run by Ben Lovett of Mumford and Sons and Kevin Jones of Cherbourg.
"When I saw Philadelphia Grand Jury live they blew me away. I've never seen so much energy concentrated into a performance before on top of exceptionally well crafted songs - it was a no brainer for Communion!" says Kevin Jones.
New single ‘Going To The Casino (Tomorrow Night)’ is a rabid garage punk offering, telling tales of naughty nights and lost days. Available on black vinyl, the single will be kept to a strictly limited edition.
In addition to this, Philadelphia Grand Jury have confirmed details of an exhausting British tour. By far their biggest live engagement in this country to date, every ticket holder will receive a free download version of ‘I’m Going To Kill You’.
